Part #7 (The Final Part!)

Part #7 (The Final Part! Enjoy!) Cat started digging, grimacing along the way. The footsteps got louder and louder. And just when the worker (who was pretty fat and smelled like sweat) got to the door of Paw’s room, Puppy charged into the metal bars, which knocked into the worker’s head, causing him to tumble backward into another set of metal bars across the hall. “Go, go go!” Puppy said, shoving Paw into the hole. When she saw Paw’s head stick out on the other side of the window, she glanced back at the worker who was headed for the exit, and dove into the hole. She didn’t even waste time sucking her body in since Cat gave plenty more space. “Run!” Puppy barked. She didn’t need to waste anymore time telling them to run, because the worker was already running toward them in the dark. They had a big chase two rounds around the building, and finally,m when all three dogs leaped under the shelter gate, the worker gave up and went back inside the building, wiping his forehead, mutte...

Part #6

(Ignore what I said in the last post. I'm doing three  posts instead of two, because it's still way to long.) Part #6 Five stressful hours later, when Jon got to sleep, the duo snuck out through Jon’s unlocked window. “I don’t like this, Puppy,” Cat whined, standing at the top of the windowsill after Puppy jumped down into the grass below. “Cat, just jump. You’ll be fine,” Puppy reassured him. Slowly but surely, Cat inched his way to the edge of the windowsill and jumped, yelping, even though the windowsill was only three feet above the ground. They trotted off along the edge of the road, the way to the shelter. Cat was familiar with this route; he had been to the shelter along with Jon when they had gotten Puppy not too long ago. Soon enough, they reached the old, dark, decrepit building. Puppy shuddered. “Is it just me, or has the temperature just dropped down fifteen degrees?” Cat replied, “It’s just you.” Rolling her eyes, Puppy led the way to a series of windows, each...

Part #5

Hi again! I know I posted like three seconds ago, but I need to say something. So you know that I-don't-know-what-to-call-it  thingamagig? So yeah. I finished it, and I'm posting the rest of it all in two posts.    Part #5  Paw took a quick glance at the room, finally spotting Fernickle’s old fashioned flip phone on the bedside table. “There! Right there!” Paw exclaimed, pointing his muzzle at the old brown bedside table. Puppy looked at him blankly. “Why are you telling me? Stop wasting time, Paw. Get the phone!” Paw said, “Listen. I’ll stop her. And I’m trusting you.” “You’re trusting me? For what? I can’t be trusted. Get the phone already!” Puppy shrieked, panicked. “Hold on. Are you telling me to get the phone? What am I supposed to do with it? How am I ever going to reach it?” “Jump onto the bed and-- AAAH!” Paw cried. Fernickle had grabbed him and dragged him by the tail, not taking her eyes off him. “Paw!” Puppy screamed. She wanted to ch...

Class Rep

Oh.  Wow, that was a really strange way to start a new post. Let me try again.     Hi! Much better.     I just remembered --three minutes ago-- that I forgot to tell you about class representative. Remember? In my post about Peter and Ned's Ultimate Travel Journal ? I said, "remind me tomorrow to tell you about class rep."     And I completely forgot.     So let me tell you now. You might know about Reps, and you might not. For those who don't know, here's a summary.     At school, near the middle of the year, we can run for class rep. (Only third to fifth graders.) The Rep would represent their class, and give announcements from the student council about Spirit Days, pajama days, stuff like that.     So if you want to run, we have to write a speech about how we would make a good Rep, and why people should vote for you.     Usually, we would make a poster too, but since everything is remote, ...

Part #4

Here it is! What you've all been waiting for... Part #4! Part #4 Automatically, Puppy dove behind Paw, her eyes shut tight. She heard Paw growl and bark his loudest. Fernickle jumped back. “What do you think you are, you filthy thing?” Paw barked again. Puppy understood his every word. But all Fernickle heard were barks and growls. But not whines. “Move aside,” Fernickle demanded Paw. She reached out her pruny foot, ready to push Paw away, but Paw didn’t budge. Instead, he launched his muzzle toward Fernickle’s foot, and bit it. Hard. Fernickle screamed in shock. “I should have gotten rid of you years ago! AAARGH! What have you done to my foot?” Fernickle limped back into the kitchen, scowling. “I will get you, you gruesome creature!” “Hurry. Follow me,” Paw whispered. Just then, a thought hit Puppy. “Um… Paw? What are we going to do? How are we going to stop her from sending you back to the shelter?” She noticed Paw wince when Puppy mentioned the shelter. “Is some...
