Class Rep
Oh.
Wow, that was a really strange way to start a new post. Let me try again.
Hi!
Much better.
I just remembered --three minutes ago-- that I forgot to tell you about class representative. Remember? In my post about Peter and Ned's Ultimate Travel Journal? I said, "remind me tomorrow to tell you about class rep."
And I completely forgot.
So let me tell you now. You might know about Reps, and you might not. For those who don't know, here's a summary.
At school, near the middle of the year, we can run for class rep. (Only third to fifth graders.) The Rep would represent their class, and give announcements from the student council about Spirit Days, pajama days, stuff like that.
So if you want to run, we have to write a speech about how we would make a good Rep, and why people should vote for you.
Usually, we would make a poster too, but since everything is remote, we didn't do it this year.
And guess what? I won!!! That's right. I'm the Rep for my class now. I ran in third and fourth grade, but didn't win in either of them. But I won this year!
Near the end of this marking period (which is coming up soon), or the start of the third marking period, the running for student council officers will open up. The officers are like class reps, but they do so many more things. They run the entire student council. Now, the teachers are doing it, since there are no officers yet, but when the officers get selected, they will be the next ones to run the student council. There are four jobs:
Treasurer: Keeps track of the money the school earns from fundraisers and donations.
Historian: Goes around the school and takes pictures of the kids who participate in School Spirit Days.
Secretary: Helps the president and vice president. Sort of like the assistant.
Vice President: Whoever runs for president and comes in second place will be vice president, who helps the president with work.
President: Runs the student council. (The boss!)
I'm looking forward to running for secretary. I don't know how it's going to be like in remote learning, since all the third, fourth, and fifth graders have to vote, but still.
Okay, I just finished my homework before I started writing, and I'm kind of tired, so chao!
