The Perfect Town: Chapter 2

    Hi people! It's been a while since I wrote Chapter 1 of my story. So here's the second chapter. Enjoy!

Chapter 2

The Detention Teacher

    "Oh no. Oh no, no, no!" Dove cried as she looked at Victor McGalley's picture of the detention teacher.

    "Calm down, Dove. What's wrong?" Valerie said, studying Dove's worried face.

    "Valerie! I am in ginormous trouble. That detention teacher is the girl I was talking about at lunch!"

    "Oh. That's bad."

    "I am in serious trouble. What will people say when they see me in detention?"

    "Dove, calm down. I don't think it's going to be that bad."

That's when Dove gasped for the second time. Smirking behind her best friend stood the girl from this morning, AKA the new detention teacher.

    "Hello there, Dove," the teacher said as Valerie whirled around, her expression changing.

    "Um... hi, Ms. Detention Teacher, ma'am," Dove replied, plastering a fake smile on her face.

    "No need to pretend. I know what you said to me this morning," the teacher smiled.

   Valerie interrupted, "I don't know who you think you are, but we are not afraid of you. My best friend Dove is the bravest, kindest girl I've ever met, and you cannot change that no matter how much you try. We stay together forever! If you want to put Dove in detention, you take me too!"

    Valerie glanced at Dove to see what her best friend thought of her speech. After looking at Dove's face, she said, "Too much?"

    "Thanks for that, but waaaayyy too much," Dove whispered back, not taking her eye off the detention teacher.

    The teacher laughed and stuck out her hand. "Ms. Parks. Your new detention teacher."

    "Wait. So you're not mad at me about this morning?" Dove asked, bewildered.

    "You were standing up for your school. What can I do about that?" Ms. Bermy answered, walking back to the detention room, leaving Dove's mouth wide open, and Valerie grinning.


Author's Note: Were you surprised? I honestly think it was pretty obvious. But even I surprised myself when I decided to make the detention teacher have a nice personality instead of a mean one.

    Haha, the friend speech felt like too much and then you had the characters say that too so it was hilarious. I loved it!!

      Hiii! I just checked the calendar, and exactly TWO weeks ago was our last day of school! It's 9:14 am right now, which means two weeks ago I was in Morning Meeting at school on our last day. I still miss fifth grade. It was fun. I still don't know how I feel about entering middle school, but I guess I'm kinda excited.          Anyway, I'm kind of bored right now. I'm waiting for my math class to start. Apparently in middle school we're going to miss the regular classes since we're going to Honors math (I've never heard of this way of teaching Honors before, but I don't know.). So the classes are meant to catch us up on the regular classes we were supposed to go to.     The classes are slightly boring because I already know most of the stuff. A Lot of Things to Tell You!

      Hiiii!!!! It's been a pretty long time. My last post was in the beginning of summer, and now there less than a week left until middle school!!! I went from excited to nervous to terrified to excited again. It's been crazy . We got our schedules yesterday and the school supplies list came out sometime before. Everything's starting to feel so real .     Okay, more about middle school later. So in the beginning of August we had the BEST trip EVER to North Carolina, and even though the car ride was super long, it was completely worth it.     We reached at like 3am and my aunt and uncle were awake because it was their new house and they were waiting for us to arrive.     Right. Before I go, I wanted to talk about COUSINS. I literally never  understood this until like a few months ago.      So. Your First Cousins     Your parents' siblings' kids. Your Second Cousins     Your parents' cousins' kids. Your Third Cousins     Your parents' second cousins 's kids. And it goes on. That's basically it 😅. So Chai and Paradise are my second cousins.
