Winter Break

Image
Hola! It's winter break right now, so I don't really feel like working on my I-still-don't-know-what-to-call-it .     But that doesn't mean I don't have anything to talk about!     We're spending New Years in our friend's house. She's doing her dance practice right now, so I'm taking the advantage and blogging in the meantime.     We spent Christmas at home. (Merry late Christmas!) It was pretty fun. I mean, not as fun as last year when we spent Christmas at Disney ( Quarantine  this year. 🙄), but it was still fun.     It was a two-hour drive to Pennsylvania, where I am now. We left at around 7:50 pm last night, and arrived at 10:30 pm.     And we played and did random stuff until 12:30 am, when we finally fell asleep. Usually we sleep in the loft, but it was too late at night, so we just decided to relax on the beds.     Our friend's house is a lot bigger than ours. They have a bigger, warmer basemen...

My School Schedule + More Blogs!

Image
Hi people! Just a few minutes ago I read two new posts from Life in Paradise  and Chai-Tea-Latte   Blogs , my cousins' blogs. I'll post another link to them in the bottom of this post. So it was the first time I've read them since, like, forever , and I just got an idea for a new post after reading Life in Paradise .     I haven't talked about school much, so I wanted to talk about my schedule, just like Paradise did. Here: 9:00 - 9:14: Morning Meeting 9:14 - 9:44: Special (Music/Gym/Spanish/Art) 9:55 - 11:00: Math & Science 11:15 - 12:33: ELA 12:33 - 12:48: Closing Circle 12:48 - 1:55: Lunch Break 1:55 - 3:30: Small Group/Independent Work     Okay, that might not be the exact schedule, but that's the schedule we follow. You see, the real schedule has a break for at least two minutes in the middle of every subject. But the way we do it in class, sometimes we go over time, so a lot of times we don't really get that two minute break. ...

Part #3

Helloooo! Welcome back! Here's Part Three of I-don't-know-what-to-call-it ! Part 3 Puppy ignored everything around her as she ran as quickly as her tiny legs could take her toward Mrs. Fernickle’s house. The old lady was the meanest on the block, according to some people. Some rumors even say she’s a witch, which is why Puppy tried not to think about what might happen to her if she barged into Fernickle’s home without permission. The worst part was, she didn’t even have a plan. When Cat was really angry at her, he called her a hopeless little dog. And this was the first time she actually believed him. “I can’t do this. I’ll get Paw,” She muttered to herself, turning around. She was only a few feet away from Jon’s porch, and the moment she started walking, her face rammed into Paw’s legs. “I read your mind,” Paw chuckled as they headed toward Fernickle’s house. Puppy didn’t laugh back. Her head was crammed with thoughts about what might happen to Paw if he did go bac...

Peter and Ned's Ultimate Travel Journal

Hola! It's really late--10:30 pm--right now. I was reading, and then I just remembered something important .     Well not exactly ' important ,' but you know... I need some drama. Remember when I shared a really cool book? It was called Avengers Orientation  by Preeti Chhibber. She's a pretty cool author. She has another book that I read too, and it's perfect for you if you're a fan of the movie  Spiderman Far From Home .     Here's the picture: I'll send a few links, too, at the bottom of this post. Check them out! Remind me tomorrow to tell you about class rep. I'm exhausted right now and I just want to read. Chao! (I was thinking of posting the link to a preview on Google Books, but there were none. But I found one on Amazon.) Amazon Link - Click on the picture to look inside at the first few pages of the book.

Part 2

Here's Part 2 of... (I still have to come up with a name.) my story. Enjoy! Part 2 “Oh, Puppy!” Cat sang. Puppy looked up. Cat was still sprawled on his white mat, his yellow eyes fixed on the front door. “Look who’s here!” Puppy sniffed the only scent she could never forget. Paw! She screamed in her head as she lunged off Jon’s bed and scrambled toward the doggy door. The handsome black Border Collie that lived across the street stared down at her lovingly as she jumped out the doggy door and bumped straight into his legs. “Calm down, Puppy,” he said as she smiled back up at him. They walked straight to Jon’s bedroom like always, leaving Cat scowling behind them. “Is Fernickle being okay to you, Paw?” Puppy asked immediately after Paw helped her up back onto Jon’s bed. Paw took his usual spot on Jon’s empty shelf on the other side of the room. “Same, same,” Paw replied, flicking off a dust bunny with his tail. “Then bark at her! Do whatever it takes! Paw, are you listening to me?...

Story #2- Part 1

Hi! Sorry about the whole Lights, Camera, Action  fiasco and the fact that all the words went completely off the screen. Anyway, I have another story. Let's hope the same problem doesn't happen with this one. This one isn't an article. It's one you might like if you're a fan of pets (Like me!). About the Doris Parks story, by the way... I don't think I'll continue it. I feel like I'm a lot more interested in writing this one. This one doesn't really have chapters, but I'll publish it in parts like I did with the Perfect Town  story. Here's part one. Enjoy! Part 1 Cat glared at the furball in front of him. Puppy innocently snored on Cat’s favorite mat, which he was planning to lounge on earlier. “Move, you furry maniac!” Cat meowed at Puppy. Puppy stirred, her eyes still closed shut. “GET UP!” Cat was screaming now with anger. Puppy’s eyes fluttered open. “What?” “I said get off of my mat, dog!” Cat ordered, but only to get a bark back fr...

Lights, Camera Action!

Image
Hi! I haven't shared any writing in a while. Here's an article that I wrote for Newspaper Club at school: Lights, Camera, Action! Buy some popcorn and have a seat in the huge theater in front of the screen! Everyone knows how it’s like to buy some tickets and watch a good movie in the theater with your family. But that changed in 2020. No more do we go out and watch movies in the theater. Instead, we lounge on the couch eating homemade popcorn, watching a movie on your own TV in your own house. COVID-19 has delayed many movies coming, and caused an impact on movies in the middle of making. Some directors had to get creative to find ways to finish their movie this year while being aware of social distancing and wearing masks. The new SpongeBob movie Sponge on the Run had an especially unique way of filming. Although the staff was fortunate enough to be able to work remotely, the process wasn’t easy. First of all, the Sponge on the Run crew had to find a way to reco...
